Voula Chourdaki

Biography

Voula Chourdaki was born in Crete, resides in Berlin and holds a BA in English Language & Literature (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), an MA in Journalism & New Media (AUTh) and a PhD in Experimental Literature (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens).Currently, she serves as a member of the Team of Experts at the Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts (Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten/FHK) in the Netherlands, she is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Literary Education, she conducts Creative Writing Workshops, engages in various creative projects, and is involved with creative branding. Additionally, she is the author of the poetry collection “anti-romantzo” (Gavriilides, 2017) and the academic study “…somewhere between cigarettes and crosswords. The Investigative Journalist in the Contemporary Crime Novel” (Sideris, 2016). Her short stories and flash fiction pieces have been featured in numerous magazines, and her academic articles have been published in various scientific journals. She was a member of the Organizing Committee for the 5th Conference on Creative Writing in Palermo in 2022.
